Jem Cranfield is an HR Consultant in the Ashtons HR Consultancy team.
Jem’s day to day activities includes supporting clients with a range of queries across all aspects of employee relations, conducting investigation meetings, reviewing handbooks and delivering training.
Jem is CIPD Level 3 qualified and has a sound history of practical experience to back this up.
Joining us from the public sector, where Jem was an HR Advisor, he was then promoted to managing the busy HR Advice Team. Before that, Jem was an Independent Living Advisor for a charity run by and for disabled people, working with small employers to provide HR advice and guidance in support of their own independence.
Jem uses his empathetic nature to build a strong relationship with clients to solve their people issues. His background in the charitable and public sectors has provided opportunities to deal with a variety of complex employee relations matters, and so he brings a considered and balanced view when it comes to his discussions with clients.
Jem loves the variety that comes with a career in HR – no day or issue is ever quite the same and so it never gets boring!
Outside of work Jem likes to spend time with his family (pets and people!), eating out, and listening to music and podcasts.
