Webinar – Returning to work in a COVID-19 era: a Q&A

Posted 07/05/2020

As the UK has passed the peak of infections, employers around the country are asking, how do we return our staff to work?

COVID-19 has required all businesses in every sector to make changes and to adapt to the current circumstances. In some instances staff have been asked to go on to furlough leave, to take unpaid leave, to work reduced hours and to work from home. Whilst many of us are just recovering from the fast-paced changes that had to be made after the announcement of lockdown, employers will need to consider how they get their business up and running in the post-COVID-19 era.

Lucy Pakes from Ashtons HR Consulting and Jessica Piper from Ashtons Legal’s Employment Law team are hosting a free webinar to discuss the mechanics of the return to work.

Date & time: Thursday 14 May at 11am

We will be discussing:

  • the return from furlough
  • options if you can’t return staff, including lay off and redundancy
  • how to deal with employee morale and concerns
  • flexible and agile working
  • zero-hours workers
  • variations to contract.

Questions can be submitted ahead of the webinar by emailing: jessica.piper@ashtonslegal.co.uk.

This webinar will be the first of a series provided jointly by Ashtons HR Consulting and Ashtons Legal. Further details will be announced shortly.
